Comet Hyakutake was indeed a spectacular astronomical event during its brief encounter with Earth last spring, especially when viewed from dark country skies. And now, Comet Hale-Bopp, easily visible from urban locations has brought an even greater dose of splendour to the heavens during March and April of 1997. The Allentown School District Planetarium is reinstating the very successful comet photo packet fund raiser from last spring, but this time premiering Hale-Bopp photo sets. Just over 800 Hyakutake packets were sold last year, greatly helping to support the efforts of the Planetarium and help keep it open. Together we are making a difference! Thanks for your support.
Available for just $5 apiece (which includes shipping to your home address!), you can purchase both Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake photo packets. The souvenir portfolios each contain two high-quality, glossy color photos of Comets Hale-Bopp or Hyakutake, photographed from the Lehigh Valley (Hyakutake) and New Mexico (Hale-Bopp). Also included is an information label and a locator map showing where in the sky the photos were taken.
Again, the $5 includes shipping of your photo packets to your address!
The proceeds support the costs of operating the Allentown School District Planetarium, a non-profit facility. If you have any further questions, please contact the planetarium at (610) 820-2204. For ordering information, see below.
